Typical Issues

· Grinding stainless steel is highly prone to the formation of Built-Up Edge (BUE), leading to rapid abrasive breakdown and the appearance of drag marks on the surface.

· Aluminum alloys exhibit strong adhesion properties, causing severe clogging of the sandpaper, which results in overheating and surface scratching.

· Removing weld spatter requires high cutting forces; however, an overly aggressive approach risks damaging the base material.

Recommended Solutions

· Stainless Steel: Zirconia-Aluminum Fiber Discs + Ceramic Sanding Belts (Finishing)+ Non-woven Abrasives

· Aluminum Alloys: Silicon Carbide Sandpaper (Anti-clogging) P80–P320+ Non-woven Abrasives + Abrasive Sponge

· Carbon Steel / Cast Iron: Aluminum Oxide Fiber Discs (Rust Removal)

· Weld Treatment: Flap Discs (P40–P60) - Initial Grinding

· Fine / Mirror Finish: Trizact Pyramidal Abrasives + Flexible Film
