The high adaptability of the sanding sponge is the ideal choice for grinding the concave and convex corners of workpieces. Edge areas such as car door handles, bumpers, and radiators are ideal areas of application for sponge sand. Unlike traditional sandpaper, sponge sand can be folded without creating creases, and due to the improved texture consistency without spirals, it can ensure a continuous sanding effect.

When sanding with sponge sand, the focus is not only on a high removal rate but on achieving an optimal surface finish. Pressure needs to be applied in three dimensions. Using the sponge as the backing combined with a flexible adhesive resin, forces can be applied in three dimensions. In this way, the abrasive can distribute the contact pressure along the Z-axis. Ultimately, the abrasive doesn't cut too deep into the material, so it's less likely to break. Because of this, less material is removed and the edges do not wear through, but instead achieve a homogeneous surface.
