Aluminum Oxide Is The Ideal Environmentally Friendly Sandblasting Material!
The work of using compressed air to drive abrasives to the surface of the workpiece for treatment is called sandblasting, that is, we often say shot peening and shot peening treatment.
Because in the early days of shot peening technology, sand was the only abrasive that could be used. Therefore, at that time and for a long time afterward, shot peening was always called sandblasting. Among various surface pretreatment methods, sandblasting (shot blasting) has the most thorough effect, the strongest adaptability, and the widest application range; it is the fastest and most thorough to cleaning the steel surface. Sandblasting can clean surface that is usually difficult to clean. Some special tools can be used to clean the inner surface of the pipe, and the cost of sandblasting is the lowest. Sandblasting can make the cleaned surface obtain the desired cleanliness and roughness at
the same time, and improve the adhesion of the coating on the basic surface.
No matter how good the paint is, it cannot adhere well to the surface of the workpiece without surface treatment for a long time. The purpose of surface pretreatment is to clean the surface and create the required roughness on the surface to "lock in" the coating.
After the surface of the sandblasted workpiece is coated with industrial coatings with good performance, the coating life can be more than 3.5 times longer than that of the same quality coating on the surface treated by other methods. Another advantage of sandblasting (shot blasting) is that the surface roughness can be determined in advance according to requirements and can be easily achieved during the cleaning process.
Brown corundum abrasive for sandblasting has moderate hardness, high bulk density, no free silica, high specific gravity, and good toughness. Brown fused alumina is an ideal "environmentally friendly" sandblasting material, widely used in aluminum profiles, copper profiles, glass, precision molds, and other fields.
