Roloc Cleaning Strip Disc Surface Conditioning Low Tensile Disc is a nonwoven abrasive product used in cleaning, finishing, mixing, and deburring applications. Low-stretch backing adds stiffness to the disc.
What makes our Roloc clean strip disc surface conditioning low stretch discs so versatile for a variety of applications? It is a combination of mineral, backing, and overall abrasive structure. The discs are available in coarse (CRS), medium (MED), and very fine (VFN) grades so operators can select the correct grade for their application. Our disc-open web design resists loads for long life and consistency and provides the flexibility needed to achieve consistent results on contoured surfaces and edges without compromising workpiece geometry. This means higher productivity and lower inventory costs. We engineer the discs to have high initial and extended stock removal rates while maintaining excellent edge durability. It is an excellent starting point for working with intricate details, contours, and edges to remove surface imperfections, wear marks, milling, and other marks.
The disc also has an accessory that helps speed up the attachment of the disc to the tool. A simple 1/2 turn will secure the Roloc disc to the support pad. Subsequently, the backup pad is attached to the tool, whether it is a disc grinder or a die grinder. The disc is engineered to make connecting the disc to the tool quick, easy, and more efficient.
Nonwoven technology makes our disc industrial abrasives unique. The combination of fiber bundles, resins, and abrasive minerals forms a thick open web. The springy nature of the fibers responds to contours, effectively removing unwanted burrs, dirt, and contamination while maintaining workpiece geometry, reducing rework, and increasing productivity. The gaps in the mesh allow the chips to escape so the chips don't clog the minerals. The fibers in the web continuously break down during use, exposing fresh minerals, resulting in superior consistency, superior cutting performance, and extremely long life. These products increase productivity while reducing the need for cleaning chemicals and wire brushes.
